"What I Believe about God Is the Most Important Thing about Me" - A.W.Tozer

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

I want you to bookmark this page, print it out or somehow make it easy to access. This is the most important thought I can ever tell you. It took God many years, until I finally understood the essence of my life, the core of Christianity and purpose of Jesus’ life and death.

I want you to really think for a moment: You’re here (wherever you are right now) not by chance, BUT by God’s choosing. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation, with and through your life! “He has made everything beautiful in its time” – Ecclesiastes 3:11

You might wonder, what is God’s purpose with your life? God more than anything wants to have a personal relationship with you, because He loves you, cares about you personally. The only way we can have a personal relationship with God is through Jesus. That’s why Jesus came.

“But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.- Galatians 4:4-7

Before Jesus came people had no personal interaction with God. People would have to go once a year to the priest and he would take their request into the inner sanctuary or the Most Holy Place. But only the priest could enter into God’s presence. When Jesus died, the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn down the middle. (Luke 23:45). This was the curtain that blocked people to enter in God’s presence. Jesus had to die to make a way for us to God.

Jesus didn’t come to offer you a church membership, a religion, or a denomination. When Jesus came they had all that: they had the religion and the law. The religion and the law weren’t able to bring us into relationship with God. So Jesus came and He was born under the law – Why? – TO REDEEM those under the law.  “God sent him ( Jesus) to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, SO that he ( God) could adopt us as his very own children” NLT. Jesus was sent and died: Yes for our salvation, Yes to give us a ticket for heaven, BUT more then that … to receive the FULL RIGHTS OF SONS AND DAUGHTERS!!!

YOU ARE THE SON AND THE DAUGHTER OF THE KING!!! With full rights, you are not a slave to the law anymore. You have a Father, who loves you, knows you, and cares about you!!!

Colossians 1:16 says: “For by him (Christ) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him (Christ) and for him. (Christ)

I want you to understand this: you were created By God and for God. What does this means? God made you, to bring glory to Him. How can you do that? By attending church every Sunday? By doing good things? By following the rules and regulations of different denominations? By bowing down to some theological beliefs?   NO !!! Just follow Jesus' example. While Jesus was living here in this earth, He modeled us how to live a life which brings glory to the Father … by having a close relationship with the Father!!! Jesus in the four gospels calls God “Father” 189 times. (I read that somewhere, I didn’t count it, but is not a big deal to do it). God refers to Jesus as his beloved Son.

Jesus spent time with the Father to know and understand His will and then Jesus simply just obeyed the Father’s will. In the Bible we can read over and over that those who love God will show their love, by simply obeying Him.

The only way we will ever be able to live to our fullest when we realize that we are sons and daughters with full rights of the Almighty God. Now, I don’t know about you, but this gives me chills and sets me free. No more rules and regulations, no more fear of tomorrow, no more law … it’s just that intimate close love relationship with my “daddy” or “Abba, Father”.

As A.W. Tozer said and you can take this personally: The most important thing about you/ me is the thought that comes to your/ my mind when you/I think about God!

When you think about God, what kinds of thoughts do you think about Him? Do you see God as your Father?

Listen to this song … over and over, until will sink and penetrate your entire being. Read these scriptures, memorize them, print them and carry them with you.

YOU ARE SPECIAL, YOU ARE LOVED, YOU ARE ONE OF A KIND, MADE BY A LOVING FATHER!
