Welcome To WIP Online Bible Community

This life, our lives...each and every one of us is a 'Work in Progress'.

We are all on a journey...and our paths might be different, yet the destination is clear.

Whatever the reason that you came across this page, I would like to welcome you and tell you that you are in the right place. Work In Progress is a place where current and former overlooked and exploited people can have a room to be honest and connect with those who have been there and haven’t forgotten where they have come from. It’s so amazing that throughout the Bible we can see how God deliberately chooses the “nobodies” to expose the pretensions of the “somebodies”.

This website is a space to voice your thoughts, express your opinions, and practice your faith. This is a safe community where we can complain, deconstruct, brainstorm, network, dream, and encourage. Let your voice be heard.

Looking For DirectionIf you wandered to this page most likely you are here for one of the following reasons:

     >You may or may not feel that something in your life is missing.
     >You might wonder why you are here on this planet called Earth.
     >You struggle to understand what your purpose in life may be.
     >What is Life and what comes after Life?
     >You might walk the valley of the death, which can come with many different faces and in these difficult circumstances you wonder that maybe this “God thing” might help.
     >You wonder, is there even a God?
     >Is there anyone who cares - anyone who really cares about you, your personal life, your heartache?
     >You are looking to get to know God. You are wondering about Christianity, about God and what it all means.
     >You have a relationship with God and you would like to deepen this relationship with him.
     >You might hear how God talks with others and wonder why he isn’t talking to you.
     >You wonder what God’s plan is for your life.
     >Maybe you spend many years in a church and you are not satisfied with your spiritual life.
     >Maybe you are disappointed in religion and churches, but are looking to connect with people who believe in God and want to become Christ's imitatorsq - not on a religious, theological and ideology level - but having a powerful Spirit filled life that can make a difference in tangible ways

I see a pattern lately that a growing number of people are leaving the institutional church. They are not leaving because they have lost their faith. They are leaving the church to preserve their faith. They are seeking an authentic spirituality and finding it outside of man made traditions and religion.

Some of us who have a more a deeper interaction and understanding of the Word, might not easily obey everything what a pastor or church leader say, but take the time to filter their lives and instructions throught the Word of God.  Some pastors and church leadesr try to dominate their congregation insted of leading them by their examples. Paul told the Corinthians that they should imitate him in the same manner in which he imitated Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1).

Another way of looking at this instruction is this: imitate your pastor as you see him/her imitating Christ; when the pastor stops imitating Christ, stop imitating and following him/her. But, for this admonition to become something more than just skilled rhetoric, there is a huge responsibility placed on the shoulders of each individual as well. All of us have a responsibility to not only read the Bible, but to also study the Word, to become intimate with GOD’s thoughts and Character. If we don’t, we’ll never know when we’re being led astray.

Did you ever found yourself in a church where the pastor and leaders were manipulating individuals or situations to fit their own personal goals or plans? Have you encountered intimidation from leaders when their pulpiteering didn’t quite sway the congregation to the path they’ve chosen? Domination, manipulation, intimidation… all three are key components of witchcraft. A truly GOD-delegated leader, never has any reason to engage in any of these practices, as their example of godliness will go further and have much greater impact in the lives of others.

Some leaders then misuses the Word, creating followers of themselfs rather than followers of GOD. This is the main reason a growing number of people are fed up with the institutional church, where leaders are seeking a hierarchal ministry that elevates them to a revered position, rather then a biblical ministry of servitude. If you been part of any of those congregations and had the courage to ask questions or speak up, then you experienced first hand the persecution within the church.

This is why Work In Progress was born. To offer a safe place where you can come as you are, and by interacting with other Christ diciples you will have the opportunity to become a diciple yourself.

This is a place where you can ask questions and I will do my best to answer them from Jesus’ perspective. You are welcome to submit your prayer request and to view many other prayer request submitted to us and take a moment to pray for some of those needs. If God answers your prayer... please share your praise with us so that we can praise God with you!
